Intelligent Design.
If there is intelligent design it probably started with Adam and Eve. Adam and Eve lived in the Garden in Eden. The Garden was designed to be beautiful, happy and peaceful. But the Designer of the Garden decided it was too boring and that nothing was happening there. Adam and Eve were just lying around doing nothing, day after day. Nothing was being invented or developed. That is not how the Designer envisioned it. So the Designer decided to shake things up so that Adam and Eve would do something and progress.
The Designer introduced an apple and a snake. The apple represented knowledge and know-how and the snake represented desire and conflict. The Designer used the snake to tempt Eve to eat the apple, the fruit of knowledge. In this way, the Designer thought, the two inhabitants of the Garden would gain knowledge, desires and be motivated to do something.
The Designer was surprised about what happened next. It didn't expect what followed, or did it. The Garden became a place of constant turmoil, conflict and wars. However, things were really happening. In time people were inventing and developing things. And the Designer's intelligent design was really turning into something.
It is not exactly how the Designer wanted things. It thought that it could create a human world without strife. But he realized that without strife nothing worthwhile is accomplished. The Designer should have known this because that’s how it created the natural world, through churning and upheavals.
Do people who believe in intelligent design really understand how intelligent or not it really is.
